New MonoTracer MTE-150 Piloting Tutorial Videos

New All Electric MonoTracer MTE-150 Piloting Tutorial Videos.

Peraves CEO and MonoTracer Jedi Master Roger Riedener continues his MonoTracer Academy series on the new all electric MonoTracer MTE-150 with the additional four tutorial videos.  He begins with the very basics of how to get in and out of a MonoTracer (Video #9).  Video #10 covers the all important MonoTracer operating controls with emphasis on the eternally respected switch for the retracts (bionic legs, stabilizers, landing gear, etc…).  Roger also notes the MonoTracer is a seatbelt equipped Safety Motorcycle and helmets are not worn.  Video #11 demonstrates just how slow one can drive a MonoTracer.  Video #12 combines all 3 lessons with a ride into the city to visit Roger’s favorite Thai restaurant.  The MonoTracer is a very elegant vehicle and we want to pilot it in a very elegant way (with the stabilizers retracted).  Study these videos and you’re well on your way to becoming a future MonoTracering pilot!

Take a Spin in the New MonoTracer MTE-150 (Video)

New all electric MonoTracer MTE-150 taking a spin in the Swiss countryside.

Here is the first part of the riding series with the new all electric MonoTracer MTE-150 piloted by MTE-150 inventor and Peraves CEO Roger Riedener.  It was filmed in the beautiful Swiss countryside last week after all the snow and ice melted.  Watch how the TRONtastic electric Monotracer gracefully navigates the winding roads with zero emissions, a futuristic hushed electric whine, with plenty of excess available power and range.  There is no other vehicle that provides as much fun, luxury, performance, efficiency, and convenience rolled into one with the safety provided by the reinforced DuPont Kevlar monocoque chassis.  Enjoy the video with more to follow in the near future.

Dear friends of the world’s most energy-efficient high-performance vehicle, the X PRIZE winning Peraves MonoTracer MTE-150,

Last week we videoed the first of 7 short movie segments where I would like to introduce to you our final production version of this amazing machine.  Since nobody has time to watch half an hour of video, we made small 2-minute clips with the focus on one or two items on my or hopefully your list.  The weather here in Switzerland is so bad that we had to postpone the fun part, the riding experience.  But as soon as we’ve completed those clips we’ll be posting them up here on the blog. Business end of the new electric MonoTracer MTE-150 - World's most compact 204hp electric powerplant including 20 kWh (useable capacity) battery, wanna bet?

The standard BMW K1200 gas powered MonoTracer MTI-1200 has always been a marvel in drivetrain packaging engineering, but the new all electric MonoTracer MTE-150 elevates compact high power drivetrain packaging to a new art form.  Comparing the MTI-1200 drive with its BMW K1200 LT, the new all electric MTE-150 looks simple, which it is – no spark plugs, no gearshifter magnet, no exhaust, no fuel lines/filter, oil & water pumps & radiators…  The gas MTI-1200 actually uses more space than the electric drive (because the 50 liter fuel tank is under the rear seat) and has 40% less power.  Time’s a-changing…and it’s TRONtastic!

Cycle World MonoTracer Review

2011.07.13 - MonoTracer e150 and MonoTracer i1200 at Brno Circuit.

Peraves CEO Roger Riedener invited Cycle World‘s motorcycling journalist Steve Anderson to join us for an incredible 4 days of MonoTracering fun at the 21st Annual MonoTracer Driver Training at the Brno Circuit in the Czech Republic during the 2nd week of July 2011.  Steven rode out to Brno, CZ from Switzerland (~600mi) in a MonoTracer caravan on Monday, July 10th, 2011 with Roger and longtime cabin motorcycle advocate and journalist Paul Blezard.  Paul was Steven’s primary wingman throughout the week mentoring Steven in the wonderful world of high performance cabin motorcycles along with words of wisdom from many other veteran EcoMobile and MonoTracer pilots.  Steven is a longtime expert motorcyclist but this was his first time experiencing the motorcycling luxury, comfort, and safety provided by the DuPont™ Kevlar® monocoque fully enclosed MonoTracers.  He also had the privilege of running several hot laps of the Brno Circuit while piloting the 2010 X-PRIZE winning all electric MonoTracer e150 with its awesome power, gobs of torque, and fantastic smoothness.

iGeneration MonoTracer MTE-150

Christmas day 2011 in Switzerland brought beautiful riding weather.  With all the snow gone Roger and Désirée took the new all electric MTE-150 on a 100mi tour. Desi’s reaction: “It’s perfect!”  Roger made an upgrade to the entertainment system with the addition of the Oxygen Audio O Car System that will now be fitted as standard on all MonoTracer MTE-150s.  One’s iPhone easily clips into the Oxygen’s console which becomes the touch screen control for the radio, MP3, hands-free phone, GPS system and more all while being charged.  Taking a phone call in the very quiet all electric MonoTracer is like having the conversation with the caller right there with you as the caller’s voice emanates in stereo from all the speakers.  You don’t have an iPhone yet? Time to get one… 😉 The MonoTracer has joined the iGeneration. Rock out to your favorite tunes while Wazing away in your new MTE-150!

First Production MonoTracer MTE-150 Roll Out

The First Production all electric MonoTracer MTE-150. What a gorgeous machine! It's a huge step for this little company. A good friend and car expert said after a short ride: "Even large companies struggle to achieve this kind of refinement. Congrats!"...thanks for the flowers, Ronny!

Saturday morning, December 3rd, 2011, CEO of MonoTracer of Switzerland Roger Riedener setup the long awaited very first production MonoTracer MTE-150 to his personal liking (handlebar position, levers, tire pressure, shocks, a quick wax, etc…) and took it for its first serious spin.  The vehicle and ride quality is a quantum leap in refinement with hardly any noise at 75mph on the highway, joyfully lighter steering, and sensational seating position now 1.5inches lower for the driver allowing for wonderful passenger “theater seating”.  There are no more pedals in the all new electric MonoTracer, no more shifting and no clutching thanks to the single fixed gear driveline mated to the powerful 200hp AC Propulsion 150kW Gen3 drive system.  The new color MFD (Multi Function Display) is beautifully readable in direct sunlight.  Enjoy these early photos Roger sends of the very latest, the very best, and first production line all electric MonoTracer MTE-150.  The future of efficient high performance has finally arrived!

Chuck and the MonoTracer

2011.09.07 – MonoTracer MTI-1200 parked at Warner Brothers Studios

If you’ve ever viewed any James Bond or other spy films you may be keenly aware of the incredible vehicles the spies choose to drive.  The exciting NBC TV series Chuck is no exception having featured an all electric Tesla Roadster on the Season 3 Episode 12 – Chuck Versus the American Hero.  In more recent episodes the gorgeous spy Sarah Walker (Yvonne Strahovski) can be seen driving a beautiful Lotus Evora.  I’ve been a forever fan of the TV series Chuck since the pilot episode aired 4 years ago.  Season 5 began a couple of weeks ago and the third installment airs this Friday, November 11, 2011 at 8PM (7PM central) on NBC.  The episode is called: Chuck Versus the Frosted Tips  (IMDB).  If you are a fan of the MonoTracer you surely will want to tune into Chuck this Friday evening… 😉
